Description

Jinhwa Jang brings light to the world through her creations. This brilliance comes not only from her talent but also from her ability to capture the unique atmosphere of the streets and structures that traverse the cities she has lived in. Born in South Korea, she spent eight years in China, primarily in Shanghai, before moving to New York to study illustration. She eventually settled in Seoul's vibrant Digital Media City district. It is from this dynamic urban environment, reflective of her diverse experiences, that Jinhwa draws her inspiration - capturing bustling buildings, streets filled with glowing signs, and striking contrasts in color.

ABOUT THE BRAND

KIBLIND Atelier

Established in 2004, KIBLIND Magazine is a quarterly publication dedicated to contemporary illustration. Since 2017, KIBLIND Atelier has expanded the magazine's artistic endeavours by producing original posters and illustrated books employing various printing techniques, notably risography. Risography, akin to silk-screening, is an environmentally conscious printing method. It involves layer-by-layer colour treatment and utilizes direct tones, resulting in vibrant and intense inks derived from vegetable oil and devoid of solvents.
